The Science of Wellbeing

Researchers have been scientifically studying mental states of wellbeing and the factors that influence it for half a decade now. These studies show that our wellbeing, and our mental health in general, is influenced by dozens of variables. Being financially healthy, having access to education, being physical healthy, having positive relationships, having meaning in our lives, having access to stable housing. The list goes on and on.

Some factors are mental, some are physical. Some are within ourselves, some are within our environment. Some we can change, some we cannot.

Listing them all would be a bit too much. Instead, we’d like to give you insight into the science of six key influencers of our mental health and wellbeing. Six key domains that we know we can reliably measure. Six key domains that all of us have to deal with in our day-to-day lives. But more importantly, six key domains that we know we can change for the better.
